Follow the story of Vivian, a young witch living in a small peaceful town until witch hunters appear from the sea, desperate to protect her, Vivian's mother tells her to run into the forest that she was never allowed to visit. The hunters chase her into the woods and are mutilated by an unseen force, Vivian runs back into town hoping to find her mother. After returning to town she finds that her mother was taken and she spends years searching for the answers about who she really is and how to save her mother, and possibly find her father.
