What if I told you that the things from our stories an Book 1d myths are 100% real and I have to save them? Crazy right? Trust me I know but it's true no matter how much I wish it wasn't. I thought I was just a normal 21 year old girl... Weeks after my classes let out I found out that had never been true. I had never been normal, I'd just been hidden away from the world, the real me hidden from even myself to keep me safe but more importantly alive so I could defeat the FIRST, the original, the one that made all other supernatural things, fantastic right? The forgotten race of peacemakers born to protect the world from war and chaos. Well that's what they told me in class anyway, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Life before Mr. Gale's Mythian Academy was simple: I only ever worried about what I was going to eat for dinner, what book I was going to read next, or whether my siblings would be able to make it through high school after me, but now life's gotten a lot more complicated because before hurling me down a hole, Alice would be jealous of, my headmaster gave me this letter explaining the unbelieveable truth. ⁓⁓⁓ To my dear First Years, The artifact stolen from the Academy is essential for the continuation of our existence. As you continue in your studies at the Academy, if you are successful, you will come to understand what all of this means, but for now, you three are our best chance to retrieve it. I plead with you: do not lose your sense of self and try hard to work together to achieve your final goal. I suggest working together no matter how different your personalities may be. The world is hardly ever what it seems. We have seen our heroes fight monsters, gods, titans, and even the very Earth itself. But, there were rules and procedures to be followed. There were prophecies that defined the path to victory. Now the enemy has no limits, no safeties, no restraints. Or Mortals aren't as blind and powerless as the gods seem to think... This is a completed story in told alternating POVs with Percy, Nico, Jason, and Piper being the main focus. The first several chapters are a bit rough, but my writing improved as it progresses. I will edit the early chapters to better match the quality of the later chapters when I have some spare time. The Moon Shines On Starlight
*Warning ahead content contains animal abuse It was dimmed. I couldn't see. Oh, but I could smell. The sweet scents all around me. Then I smelled her. I immediately knew who she was. My mother. My creator. I went over to her screaming my way between my two siblings. Although I was just a puppy, I could recognize my surroundings. When I was finished drinking the milk from my mother, I moved away. I felt a hard surface underneath me. There were plenty of other scents too. One that smelled delicious. I also couldn't hear, but I could feel movement. I was removed from the hard surface and handed a much softer place. There were these weird bumps over the softer surface. It moved me around, and I was set back down in place on the floor. A couple of weeks passed though I couldn't feel it. Each day felt as if I was still a newborn. Time was not essential in my mind. As I got older, my senses started to sharpen. I could see and hear, but the one thing I couldn't see was color. All I saw was black and gray. My mother was very furry, but so was I. I would often smell her, and I liked how her scent smelled sweet. When I could, I would find food around a dumpster. We were learning more as we got older. I had two sisters and two brothers, as I was one of the girls. We spoke to each other often, my siblings and me. "Let's go, children." Mother said to us in a soft voice. We knew how to communicate. When we fought over food mother, would tell at us. I didn't like being in trouble. I was usually quiet. One day I learned the soft surface that I had encountered was a human hand. I had felt that same surface when a human came up to us. The human loaded all of us in their vehicle. We came upon this strange building. The human let us out in this strange building. There were many scents. I couldn't place them all at once. I concentrated on one specific scent. Strawberry. It smelled so sweet, and it started to hurt my nose.Complete

This is the kind of story where things catch fire for no reason, mysterious people talk in riddles, and I end up in places that probably don't exist on Google Maps. There are monsters. Probably.
