summer was audrey's favorite time of year. not because school was over, but because she got to be with her favorite people in the world.
every summer the conklin's, laurel, steven, belly, and audrey who was affectionately nicknamed birdie met up with fisher's, susannah, conrad, jeremiah, and louis at cousins beach.
movie nights, ice cream, singing in the shower. that's how summer always was, until this summer.
everything was almost darker in a way.
