summer was audrey's favorite time of year. not because school was over, but because she got to be with her favorite people in the world.
every summer the conklin's, laurel, steven, belly, and audrey who was affectionately nicknamed birdie met up with fisher's, susannah, conrad, jeremiah, and louis at cousins beach.
movie nights, ice cream, singing in the shower. that's how summer always was, until this summer.
everything was almost darker in a way.

The summer we fell in love | Conrad Fisher
She didn't know how to get her best friend back. He didn't know how to tell her that he loved her. Sophie has been going to Cousins Beach with her family since she was little. They and the Fisher's and Conklin's were like a big family. She hoped for an amazing summer to get her ex boyfriend out of her mind but the loss friendship of Conrad and her made the summer difficult. The summer was going to be a back and forth with good but also bad days, with arguments and deep talks. Sophie was going to realise that the right person always had been right in front of her.
