This is the 2003 movie, Thirteen, told from the perspective of Evie Zamora. We got Tracy's point of view, but what about Evie? Why did she do the things she did?
I've seen a few different interpretations of Evie's perspective and I decided to give it a go. This is how I think Evie thought and the reasons behind why she did the things she did. This is NOT canon, just a fanfiction, and I am not affiliated with Thirteen or Catherine Hardwick in any way.

What if Tracy Freeland had a sister? What if her and her sister went beyond the limits instead of Evie? What would happen? What would, if anything, be different? Max Freeland - She has always not given two fucks about anyone or anything. She grew up around a toxic household and maybe that is what caused all of this? She was friends with Evie but Evie left her. She stopped getting friends and really lost herself. Somehow, she dragged her sister down with her, Tracy. Tracy Freeland - She has always tried to do the right thing. She never wanted to be like Max, ever, because she saw her for her. She saw her wrists. She saw her drugs in corners. So, why did she turn out to be like her? And why did Tracy enjoy it? Eventually, she thought everything sucked. The world sucked. She wanted to leave but maybe, she will get the help Max never got.. Mason Freeland - He was a good-ish kid. Sure, he smoked pot with his friends and sometimes drink but he had control. He watched his sister, Max, lose herself but nobody noticed. Not even Mel. Soon he saw Tracy lose herself and he, knew, had to stop her. He loves them both, to death, but doesn't like how they are turning out. He is there for Max like no one was. He tries to help her. How can he stop this madness when he is just a kid too? Mel Freeland - She tries, really, really fucking hard to be there. She is stuck in a loop with him and cant seem to find the way out. She has a suck dick job of doing haircuts at her house. She thought all her kids were healthy, including Max. Not once did she notice her child losing herself, well not until Tracy starts. Mel says how she loves all her kids equally but the truth is, she loves Tracy more. But she is a great mom, right? That's the fucked up family. Everything is fucked and how will it end?
