All I wanted was a diploma and a little extra cash, but god forbid things are ever so easy. ~ Adela O'Connor is an art major at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and all she wants is to graduate and get the hell out. Her teachers, her family, her ex, its all too much. In her world it isn't uncommon to find someone still lurking around with magical abilities, but it is frowned upon due to its corrupted past. Adela is just trying to get by as a half way decent student and a mediocre "witch" when one day everything goes wrong. Lost through a portal to god only knows where, she loses everything she has ever known, everyone she might have loved. This new world she finds herself in seems like a dream come true to the susceptible human eye, but Adela can tell something is coming, something bad. As she is thrown into a world full of temptation and violence all she is focused on is getting home. But what happens when a knot is put in her plan? A knot that goes by the name of Finn Cleirigh. And maybe, with the help of this unexpected acquaintance, Adela may come to discover a romance she thought would only exist in the pages of a book.

(Wicked Lovely Fanfic) Maeve Byrne has always known she wasn't completely human. It's the reason she could always see the faeries that inhabited Huntsdale. But she's also never told a soul what she was or what she could see. Her mother, for all her faults, had pressed one thing on her - it was dangerous. If others found out what she was - especially the Summer Court - they could hurt her to get to her father, whoever he was. All she knows is that he was a member of the Dark Court. And that she can never take off the charm that hides what she truly is. But now she's back in Huntsdale, the last place she ever thought she would return. Her dreams of being a professional ballerina - of creating a life with her fiance - are now dead after a horrific car accident two years ago. Maeve isn't sure what drew her back to her hometown. But feels like the new Dark King just might have something to do with it. Maybe he can help her find out who her father is. And perhaps finally embrace the darkness that has always lived inside her...
