"Cas?" Dean asked, his voice dragging as if he hasn't slept in days. "Please tell me you can at least hear me. Look I know your mad, I mean I get it. I would be too. Ignoring me isn't they way to deal with it. Please answer me"
Dean was growing frustrated. Cas hasn't answered him since.... it happened. He has been praying for weeks but no one answered. He kept on although he was starting to give up.
"Look Cas if you don't answer I'm giving up. That's it I'm done!" Dean stood up and walked across the room and sat on his bed. Sam bailed after Cas left. He was all by himself in the nearly empty motel room.
He sunk down into the bed shoving his head in his hands. Dean rubbed his face as if he developed a rash within seconds. "I'm done" Dean whispered in frustration. "I'm done."

During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down. He remembers nothing about Sam or Dean or even himself for that matter, but something is itching at the wall in the back of his head trying to break through, it wants to get out but can't. He gets fragments of things every so often but they are of pain and torture and a redhead he doesn't know the name of. One day a pleasant memory comes through the cracks in his wall he can't place where it came from. The only thing he knows is he needs to find the man with the stunning green eyes. Dean could still hear it, even now that they had been back for a few weeks. He could see the horror on Cas' face, the panic. He could hear the pain in his voice, recalled how it had twisted and turned in the depths of his eyes and contorted his features. He could still feel his own body go numb with hurt and shame, only to come alive with pain and dread once Cas told him about it. He hadn't been able to say it. He'd finally been ready to say it. But he didn't. Couldn't. Cas had begged him. Had begged him not to. "Dean. Please, if you're about to say what I think you are- please. Please, you can't-" Dean had waited so long to be able to say it, had fought and denied and swallowed those words, those feelings so many times. Now that he was ready to let them go, they weighed heavily on his heart, demanding to be set free and fly. Kept inside, they seemed to settle in his chest, pulling him down. "Don't", Cas had begged, something inside Dean shattering, coldness spreading, closing around his heart like a fist. The choice had been easy. It hadn't even been a choice, really. He had everything planned out in his head, the materials he'd need, the words he had to learn, the silent goodbyes he had to say. Everything had gone according to plan, the candles placed in a circle throwing their flickering light on the walls of his room at the bunker, illuminating the marks that had appeared on his body as he recited the words, marking him as a soul worthy and willing to sacrifice its light for the life of many. He had not planned for the door to burst open suddenly, pushed so forcefully it slammed against the wall, the rush of air blowing out some of the nearer candles and bathing the corners in darkness. He hadn't planned for Dean to stand in the doorway, his expression a mixture of worry, disbelief and anger. He hadn't planned for his heart to constrict quite so painfully at the sight of those green eyes staring at him, so hurt as they took in Cas' surroundings, so desperate and accusatory as they met Cas' own. ~oOo~ Or the one where Dean and Cas are self-sacrificing idiots, forcing them to finally use their words and admit some truths.Terminé

As soon as it was done, he left. He left Dean's body and Dean left the room. He knew that he couldn't leave Cas like this, shouldn't leave Cas like this, but he couldn't stay, he couldn't look at him, couldn't touch him, couldn't see skin his own hands had left blemished and tainted and torn, couldn't see the angel violated and hurt and broken by his own body. The door unlocked the moment he had done what he'd come for, had taken and destroyed and left. It flew open, revealing Sam who he knew had been furiously beating against the wood while- while...oh God, he was gonna throw up. His brother looked shocked at the picture that unfolded in front of his eyes, his features contorted in disbelief and disgust at the crumpled and naked figure in the centre of Dean's mattress.
