*On Hiatus*

"So? Do you like me?" He didn't look at me. His eyes fixed on his mobile screen which was blank and had nothing on it.

"What?" I was extremely shocked by his words. Me? I like him? I mean I do but as friends.

"What?" He looked at me. His eyes were calm, his voice was soft and his peaceful smile was also there.
As if it was stuck there to hide what was inside.

"I do but as friends. Which way are you asking?"

"The other way."

"What way?" Actually I knew but I wanted to be clear. I didn't want to misunderstand anything.

"I heard you talking with Sneha near the library." He said.

I turned my eyes from him in embarrassment. He heard it all. Everything. But then again it was a lie. What should I do? Should I tell the truth?

"I don't like you." Yes. That's right I don't like him romantically. I just didn't know what to say at that time and his name came out of my mind. That's it.

"So then why not make it real?" He asked. His eyes finally came out of his phone and landed on mine. His face was straight with no emotions. What should I do?

A relationship that started that way. How would it end or rather how would it start?

Featured by @AmbassadorsIN | @Romance .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. "I don't think we will meet, ever! You are just messing around." He texted, frustration evident from his text. "I swear on my camera. This assignment came up last minute! I am so desperate to see you! SERIOUSYL!." Proofreading wasn't her thing. "You mean 'seriously' ?" He added the 'eye roll' emoji. "See! You get me! Now, do you believe me? I ain't fooling around!" She smirked while adding the same emoji. "But I wanna fool around!" He inserted three wink emojis, making his intentions clear. She rolled her eyes, but a pink hue on her cheeks said a different story altogether. "I think we should do this..." She typed as she lay on the couch. "Shoot!" "Whenever we meet, we meet for the full day. From morning to evening, sunrise to moon-set, we can do whatever we feel like doing! We either stay in or go out, whatever our hearts say. But that'd be our first and last meeting!" She hesitated before hitting the send button. "And then we never meet again?" "Nope." "You're suggesting what exactly all guys want from their 'first' dates!" He grinned. "Some girls like that too ;)" She shook her head and backspaced. "I don't know about all boys." "Are" "You" "In?" He could feel her smirk across the screen. Without meeting her or watching her face, he knew her well enough to understand her emotions. "I'm so in! 24 hours and then never again. Sounds so perfect!" "Final then! We only meet once and then never see each other ever again!" She blushed another pink while typing. He smiled reading that.

This time, I can't help but flinch as touches me and pulls the other strap down .. baring my other shoulder to his eyes. "Anthony, you can't say those things. We ... we're supposed to be best friends." He kisses my shoulder and the words come out weak, unbelievable .. unconvincing even, as they come from my own lips. Anthony stays quiet after what I say, or rather he ignores me, instead using his other hand to play with the skin on my stomach exposed from the top. "I know .." He trails off. I hold my breath in wait, the temporary silence sending my mind spinning at the situation that'd developed. "But I don't know if that's enough for me, B." Anthony moves my hair to side as he says the words endearingly. And then there's another kiss to pair. Although it isn't a simple peck this time. It's an actual kiss, slow and softly pressed into the nape of my neck. Beatrix thought she'd never trust another guy again. After being burned, both physically and emotionally by her ex-boyfriend Rudy in her senior year of high school, Beatrix's trust in people is low. That is, until she transfers to the esteemed, private Highland University. It's a fresh start to give the girl what she wants most: A shot at normalcy. The plan is simple .. just keep her head down, study her ass off, try to become a functional person once again and hopefully make one friend or two. Everything was supposed to start over that year. She'd had high hopes of starting anew and faithfully prepared to blend in to the background. And the day goes well. Until she sits down in Spanish, where she meets Anthony Gamaro. After a slight misunderstanding, Beatrix finds herself in an odd friendship with the 20 year old football player. One that slowly helps her regain the confidence she'd long lost before.

His shadow swallowing hers and eyes glinting with mockery sharp enough to cut. "So desperate that you've actually started studying hard just to get on my level, huh?" His words weren't a question. They were clearly a taunt. She turned her face away, refusing to let him see the storm brewing in her eyes but he wasn't satisfied with silence. He tilted her chin up with a rough coax and asked with a cruel voice,"Answer me, Vika. Itna desperation?" She jerked his hand off, forcing the words past the lump in her throat,"I'm not doing it to get you. I'm doing it to secure myself-" He leaned closer, cutting her off with a poisonous smirk and said,"Oh yeah, right. Secure your future... because you want to marry me, isn't it?" The accusation cracked something inside her. The tears she had been fighting burned hot as they spilled down, betraying the strength she tried so hard to hold. He only smirked wider, watching her crumble as though her breaking was the prize he had been chasing all along. ≫∘❀♡❀∘≪ A story of first love, heartbreak and emotional strength. "Are you my boyfriend?" I asked, looking straight into his eyes. His grip on my wrist loosened. Translation: who are you to question me? I took another shot. But this boy-he literally snatched my drink and downed it himself. "You can share it with your friend, right?" He flashed his sweetest smile. I wasn't falling for it. "We aren't friends anymore," I muttered, holding my head as dizziness took over. I barely heard him instruct the bartender to stop serving me drinks before everything started spinning. The next thing I knew, I had collapsed into something warm and solid. When I forced my eyes open, I found myself in his arms. ________________________________ "Do you really want me to?" Her breath hitched, but she didn't pull away. Her fingers curled tighter against my shoulders, as if grounding herself. I watched her, my own restraint hanging by a thread. The way her lips parted, the way her chest rose and fell unevenly-I could feel the war waging inside her. I should've stepped back, given her space. But I couldn't. Not when she was looking at me like that. She didn't answer, but her silence spoke louder than words. Slowly, I ran my thumb over her cheek, tracing the dampness left by her tears. So fragile, yet so intoxicating. "Tell me to stop, darling," I murmured, my lips barely an inch from hers. Her eyes flickered to my mouth, and that was all it took. --- she fell first✨
