Diana Hopper, the daughter of chief Hopper, was the complete opposite of Nancy Wheeler; her best friend since middle school. While Nancy was academically inclined and the golden girl of Hawkins High after becoming the girlfriend to Steve (the king) Harrington, Diana was barely scraping through school and had a 'fuck you' attitude to anyone irrelevant and judgemental in her life. Her passions stemming in music and self defence - being the daughter of an ex military and chief of police would do that to you. And most important of all Diana held a secret that not even those closest to her knew about, she was gay.
When Will Byers disappeared and Barb was killed the previous year the teens and adolescents were thrown into a world of monsters and mystery to get him back. A girl with telekinetic abilities and a Demogorgon on a rampage they discover the upside down and make unlikely friendships. But that was all over with, now that the lab had sworn them to secrecy and the threat was dealt with.
At least they thought so...
