Athena's life becomes a haunting cycle of fear and pain, when her mother passes away, leaving behind her little brother Matteo to take care of all alone. Years pass, and fifteen-year-old Athena finds herself silently counting the days, eager for her 18th birthday, the day she would be free and would be able to run away with her young brother from their abusive uncle.

However, life does not put up with her expectations when the two siblings get sent to live with some unknown relatives, older brothers, after their old house burns down. 

Now, all Athena can hope for is a new start, for her and mainly her brother, whom she swore to protect from her much unwelcoming brothers.
