Hailey Boone is a 25-year-old college student, majoring in art. She's been away from her family home in Maine for the last 4 years. But now her family is wanting her home for Christmas after a death in the family.

Xander Oconnel is a 28- year-old former US Marine. After being discharged with PTSD, Xander has no choice but to go back to his hometown and crash at his best friend's house, Cam Boone, for the holidays.
