16-year-old Marilyn Morgan is what you could consider to be the perfect teenage girl. Captain of the lacrosse team, and dating the well-liked junior class president, Nick Tate. The rest of Marilyn's life was just beginning- well that was until it slowly crumbled beneath her. Unexpectedly Nick commit suicide, leaving the small town they lived in heart broken. Nick was an incredibly intelligent young boy, who practically had the rest of his life laid out for him. So, why would he do this to himself? Marilyn was beside herself, seeing that the love of her life was now dead. At Nick's funeral, his mother gave Marilyn a box that was supposedly from Nick himself. Once she opened it, Marilyn found what could be evidence that he didn't commit suicide after all. It was up to her and Nick's best friend, Parker, to find out how he died, but whatever they seemed to be chasing might've been closer than they thought...

Michael's Ghost Girl
This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. To enter high school is hard enough; what with sports, girls/boys and of course homework. Couple you're regular teen angst with a horrible tragedy that leaves you physically and emotionally scarred that's the life of Zach Monroe when his parents are murdered just before he begins his freshman year by an unknown assailant. Then there's Kimberly Adams the beautiful apple of Zach's eye who happens to be the daughter of his soon-to-be high school principal who (but wasn't even going to that school) gets wrapped in the chaos of Zach's life bringing her into a world of love she never knew existed. But beneath the surface of this seemingly random killing lies a secret deeply rooted in conspiracy which brings in super agent Max Crawford aka 'The Microscope'. I know it needs a ton of editing and there's plenty of spelling and grammar errors. Jacob's anger, yelling and all the abuse. Saying he's sorry over and over and that it won't happen again, but it's the same thing over and over. He would say anything to make me stay. Always an apology then back to his old tricks. He doesn't know I got a phone call this morning while he was at work. A phone call from someone with a number that I didn't' recognize. I looked up the number online, and it came back to a mental institution. I can't imagine what I was thinking not listening to my gut the first time he hit me. But I packed my stuff from the closet in a bag and left. I have been on the road for hours when my phone starts buzzing next to me. I see his name pop up and just ignore it. I focus on the road ahead and although I have no clue where I am going I just drive. I tried to do everything I could to make him happy with me but nothing I ever did was right.
