Andy, the school's all-star swimmer and the smile that was known for miles around, had died. Cahn knew very little of him, but it still hurt to see a fellow student pass.
Cahn decides to go to the funeral. Family and peers fill the building. Everyone is standing or sitting in a group, talking quietly. Except Alaric, Andy's brother. He sits alone at the back of the funeral home. No one is around to talk to him and it's obvious that he is struggling with the recent passing of his brother. Cahn decides to talk to him and see if he can help, and that small interaction will forever change both of the boy's lives. Forever.
