Kendall Kamaka and Ivan Alexandrovich Petrov have never been strangers. Ivan's been in Kendall's life since she was born.
Their families have always been like one and Anastasiya-Ivan's little sister-is like Kendall's twin sister, being born on the same day, at the same hour and minute. She's her best friend. But so is Ivan, or better, was.
Ivan and Kendall's age difference of seven years has never really mattered. They sort of grew up together, even though he was way older.
Kendall grew up along with her feelings for him. She's loved him for as long as she can remember. But by the time she became a grown woman, Ivan was already a man. He isn't the same boy who used to call her "malýška" all the time, who taught her how to ride a bike, or who brought her a stuffed polar bear from Russia. He is a landscape architect now, with his own car, his own house, his own friends, his own...life.
But this summer is going to be like the ones when he was still that boy. He took the season off, and he is all for Kendall to take. And to know, because lately he felt like a stranger.
She misses him, and this summer she is going to have him like she never had. She is going to have him forever, that's for sure.
