Taylor was literally born to destroy. The humans were in war with the vampires and needed a weapon to use against them so they made Taylor. Taylor is no robot she was born but the scientist made her in her mom to have amazing fighting skills and agility to be the perfect weapon.
When the tables turn the vampires kidnap Taylor not long after she's born and they raise her as their own to use against the humans. She's commanded around like a slave and treated like trash by the vampires who basically own her.
She knows she's a weapon but that doesn't mean she's emotionless. That's the down side to creating a human weapon they have emotion. Taylor has been a Slavs to them for a long time but now that's all about to change because she's going to put up a fight for her own freedom for a change.
