This began as my GCSE Drama devised piece but it has sat in my head so much, I felt the need to extend it. Because of this, I am now trying to rewrite it into a full length(-ish) play. It is written as a script because of this.
It is about a woman, Stacy, who betrays everyone in her life in some way but ultimately finds a way to victimise herself and lose everyone she had by pushing them away somehow. Also, it is set in the 90s, which explains some of the fears of the characters and how they can listen in on phonecalls. Please note that I am not trying to say that Stacy is an entirely bad person in this description. You can make your judgement on her once you've read the whole story and know all the info about her.
This will include references to abandonment, affairs, drugs and suicide. (There is occasional swearing)

The Ditches
Banished to planet Arrah. Scarred. And mentally unstable. Ramet needs help, but at the moment she's self-medicating on copious amounts of booze. It's fine though, she has a job, that's she's actually good at, fighting at The Ditches. And she makes enough money to continue to drink enough to forget about her past. But one night out drinking changes everything. Ramet meets Hara, beautiful, seductive and enticing, and from there things get complicated. Through Hara, Ramet is dragged into a crime syndicate and her new boss Whyan is a mean bastard. Still, Ramet rolls with the punches and tries to make the best of a bad situation, and a move on Hara, whilst drunk, of course. However, when Ramet realises Hara's life is in danger she begins to wonder if going with the flow is worth it. Plans aren't Ramet's forte and when things backfire on her final job for Whyan, she has to act fast, trust a government official to do the right thing, and try and stay alive in the process. One last fight. One last drink. And then happily ever after is within Ramet's grasp. It's just ... forever is a long time. This is a spin off from Sorcha The Alien and can be read as a standalone story and its sequel is Ditch Me. Hope has always expected the worst when it comes to people. Although who could blame her? Since she was about the age of five Hope and her brother Gavin have been in foster care. They never knew their father. Before they were born he had left their mother to be a teen mom on her own. As for their mother to them, she was the most wonderful and caring person they knew. To everyone else she was A depressed mother that had spent more time on drugs than off of them. She cared about her kids she really did, she just didn't know how to handle them. Hope has always been there for her little brother. She hides all of her problems and focuses on her twin brother making sure that he is always happy and dosent know about her problems, because honestly at this rate shes turning into their mom. It's been essentially a year since Zoey ran away from her friends and family. Everyone struggled with her disappearance, some more than others. Now that everyone's lives were calm, and Quinn graduated, she and Griffin were going to search. With the backing of the Taylors siblings, Quinn and Griffin would start a search party across the United States. They weren't sure how long this journey would take, or if they would find the one they missed. Zoey was finally enjoying a simple and 'drama' free life with her two roommates in New York. They all worked hard to get by, but everything was split equally. Zoey missed the privacy of a bedroom, but a couch was enough. She was content and set on sticking by her new families side, considering they helped clean her up and return her mental state to functional. By working two jobs, Z hoped to move somewhere with them that had a room for her too. Little did she know life had other plans... Time didn't matter to her. She got up when the sun did and tried to sleep when the sun went down. because of this seemingly endlessness, she's forgotten her name, she's forgotten her family and she's forgotten everything she use to be. Living on the streets of a town begging for money and food from travellers that didn't know who she was, unlike the rest of the town that thought of her as something unnatural even though she doesn't know why. Constantly abused by the townspeople who don't understand her, she is left to die in an alleyway after a horrible run in with three drunk men. She was expecting to die and have her corpse eaten by rats and other vermin. What she didn't expect was to be saved by a woman that was everything but human. "Do you want to live?" This woman asked and when she looked into herself she knew the answer, it came easy through her busted lips. "Yes." From that day on she became something else, something not human, something extraordinary and from that day forth she will serve this woman who saved her life and maybe one day remember her name or be given one by her new Mistress.
