This began as my GCSE Drama devised piece but it has sat in my head so much, I felt the need to extend it. Because of this, I am now trying to rewrite it into a full length(-ish) play. It is written as a script because of this.
It is about a woman, Stacy, who betrays everyone in her life in some way but ultimately finds a way to victimise herself and lose everyone she had by pushing them away somehow. Also, it is set in the 90s, which explains some of the fears of the characters and how they can listen in on phonecalls. Please note that I am not trying to say that Stacy is an entirely bad person in this description. You can make your judgement on her once you've read the whole story and know all the info about her.
This will include references to abandonment, affairs, drugs and suicide. (There is occasional swearing)

*Destined to Be series book one. She thinks being in a different city and reconnecting with her childhood best friend, will help her heal. But, nothing seems to change at all. At least not until one night about 2 months later. Her friend drags her to a club. To get her friend off her back, she finds a girl to pick up. She expected for it to be a one night stand and that was it but she desperately wants to see the woman again. And she ends up getting her wish but the next time they see each other it's in one of the most unexpected of situations. Just when she was starting to think that she might be able to be happy again, it all goes to crap. Her life seems to be a never ending string of heart break. Maybe the whole universe really is against her. Warning: This story's going to get a bit dark/depressing. And even though it's clearly labeled as such but I still feel I need to say this is a mature girlxgirl story so there will be sex. Also don't read if you have a problem w/ the word fuck because I use it quite liberally.Complete

Hope has always expected the worst when it comes to people. Although who could blame her? Since she was about the age of five Hope and her brother Gavin have been in foster care. They never knew their father. Before they were born he had left their mother to be a teen mom on her own. As for their mother to them, she was the most wonderful and caring person they knew. To everyone else she was A depressed mother that had spent more time on drugs than off of them. She cared about her kids she really did, she just didn't know how to handle them. Hope has always been there for her little brother. She hides all of her problems and focuses on her twin brother making sure that he is always happy and dosent know about her problems, because honestly at this rate shes turning into their mom.
