Evera Logan never noticed the small things about her long-term boyfriend, Jake
Raines. Like the fact that his nose was a bit crooked, that he could have a
quick temper sometimes, and his tough looks and smoke-stained, dirty mouth
didn’t match his sweet personality. Well, maybe she did notice, but it’s just
that she never really cared. One day, she finds that he’s gone missing, and
it’s unclear whether or not he was kidnapped or he ran away. But she follows his
last words that drags her right into the middle of a gang. They’re called the
Smokesters, who have a taste for cigarettes and causing trouble with their
rivals. She meets a boy named Rimmer is, and they’re smashed together to go out
and find where Jake is. Throughout this time Evera finds out about Jake’s
teenage years along with all the recent havoc he’s caused. But then she’s put
in the middle – to either fight for Jake, or put herself with someone entirely
new, who happens to be the same boy she’s been put with to find her original
love.
