Will has always been in love with Mike. But he loves El. No matter what he tries, Mike is always focused on El, and Will feels alone. When El and Mike have a fight and El gets taken back to the lab, Will thinks there might be a chance between him and Mike. But things are the opposite, and Will feels hurt.
