"I-I'm sorry, I didn't m-mean to hurt her." sobbed Aayat. She didn't notice Shehryaar's eyes getting darker at the mention of her. She had just made a grave mistake. Shehryaar crouched down to her sobbing figure on the floor and harshly gripped her cheeks. He knew his fingers were digging into her cheeks, but he didn't care. He wanted her to feel all of his pain. The pain he kept inside his heart grew into hatred and as it multiplied over the years. "I'll be the one to judge how sorry you are. You'll wish that I would have never found you Aayat." said Shehryaar menacingly. ....... Years ago, Aayat and Shehryaar were inseparable. They were each other's comfort zone in the hellhole of an orphanage they lived in. Shehryaar, his little sister, and Aayat were the trio that stuck together no matter what. A single mistake of Aayat brings her back to everything she ran away from. If she knew what was going to happen to her, she would have never made that mistake to be captured by Shehryaar. He was an unpredictable monster now, gone was the sweet boy she grew up with. Aayat knew Shehryaar wanted to break and claim her soul, after all she was a sinner, and sinners had to pay.

"Aayat belongs to me. She belongs to Lucifer," Sultan said in a low voice, taking a sip of his beer. Kabir stood across from him, anger burning in his eyes. "She will never be yours, Sultan!" Kabir shouted. "You killed her fiancé! You broke her! You think she can ever love you after that?" Sultan didn't move. His smile was cold, lifeless. Without a word, he pulled a gun from his pocket and pointed it at Kabir's chest. Kabir's body froze. He looked into his friend's eyes, shocked. "What are you doing?" he asked, his voice trembling. "I'm your friend." Sultan's voice was calm but chilling. "And that's why you're still breathing." Kabir swallowed hard. "You're making a huge mistake," he said softly. "You're falling for someone who will never forgive you. This love... it's going to destroy you." Sultan took a deep breath, then looked away as if lost in thought. "I know," he whispered. "But it's too late." He looked back at Kabir, his expression broken, yet proud. "Aayat is not just a girl. She's the only light I've ever seen. But I killed her happiness. I ruined her life. And now... she's my punishment." He gave a sad, bitter smile. "She'll be the death of me, Kabir. And I won't fight it."
