Being An Otaku

What does being an otaku mean to me? I think labelling myself as an otaku or anime fan, whatever you wanna call it -- is not a terrible thing at all. I believe that being called an anime fan is not degrading at all, and I think that we anime fans shouldn't be ashamed or insecure about watching anime as most otakus are. We have a right to be who we are, as well as the right to watch whatever we want. Being an otaku is an awesome thing, and I've made a lot of friends with other otakus here on Anime Amino. If it weren't for this app, I wouldn't of had any other otakus to fangirl with about anime we're both interested in as I am a still in the closet otaku in real life!
