"sunny. sunny green." i held my hand out for her to shake it. her palm was so soft against mind and it felt like she was sending electric shocks through my arm. butterflies filled my stomach as we locked eyes. i never wanted to let go of her hand.
"im billie. billie o'connell."
"its nice to meet you, billie." i laughed. both of our smiles slowly faded and we found ourselves sitting in silence for a moment, just holding each others hands. the silence was broken by her finally clearing her throat and taking her hand back to herself.
