Charlotte Stein was nothing like her father. Actually, she never even knew her father until her adult life. Before meeting his wife, Clarissa, Martin Stein had the habit of sleeping around. It helped him "think." The night he slept with Diane Miller was a drunken blur. Before she woke up in the morning, he was gone. When Diane gave birth, she gave her daughter the last name of her father, hoping one day they would find each other again. She died a month later, leaving her daughter in the foster system. Charlotte, however, was determined to find her birth father. And she did, eventually. Though the reunion was short. Martin Stein went missing the night of the particle accelerator explosion. When he was found, the two became close again. Then, out of nowhere, A British man with a flashy light convinced them to go on a suicide mission and help him save his wife and son. That's where Charlotte meets him- Leonard Snart, the man that would change her life forever.
