To Amias Vespera, magic is everything. It's in the Vespera bloodline, it's in the very heart of their quaint curiosity shop. But despite hoping for as long as he could remember, Amias holds not a drop of magic in his blood.
Unable to run the shop like he dreamed to, Amias was chosen as a guardian for his little sister-Verity-whose magic had flared and burned across the world the day of her birth. His job is simple: protect her, keep her hidden, and under no circumstances, allow her to exit the shop. Though he's kept his promise for most of his life, Verity begs to be out. To be free for just a day.
Amias, against his better judgement, allows her to step outside the shop for the first time since her birth, and only then does he realize why she was never allowed to be seen.

The Vespera Legacy is moderately violent, with the mention of blood, burning at the stake, occasional use of blades and similar threats. (Descriptions however are not immense.)

Niccola is a demi-queen undercover in enemy territory. Her little sister went missing seven moons ago, but one lead remains: a picture of a woman's face, drawn by a diviner shortly after the disappearance. Tracking her down has led Niccola to Calis, the realm next door whose border with her own remains closed for a reason. There, the trail goes cold. Until, that is, Niccola runs into a man in the marketplace who bears a family resemblance to the woman she seeks. His name is Isaiah, crown prince of Calis, and he's investigating disappearances, too. They join forces, faking courtship to sneak Niccola into the palace and get Isaiah's wedding-minded mother off his back. It doesn't take long to suspect that a common threat might underpin both their realms' problems. And as Niccola begins to develop real feelings for Isaiah, she's faced with an impossible choice: reveal her secrets and risk breaking his trust, or leave him in order to chase down the woman who stole her sister... a woman whose forbidden magic comes with a cost that could bring both realms to ruin. ❖❖❖ Complete and fully edited. A light obscured often goes dark. Sabrina Verrun is a witch and the most gifted metallurgist her Hexen coven has seen in a century. Unfortunately, she has no interest in being a traditional metal-worker, repairing broken items and making trinkets to sell in the Hexen shop...she wants to create new things, things no one has ever seen before. While she dreams of devoting her life to her metal-working, her mother has other plans...she wants Sabrina to follow in her footsteps and take over as coven leader, putting aside metal in favor of assuming responsibility for the well-being of the other witches. Sabrina has no desire to do such a thing, and as she fights for control of her own life, she's determined to create something that proves her research is worthwhile, earning her the freedom she so desperately craves. But as those she lives with manipulate her, ignore her, and treat her as if she doesn't know her own mind, she eventually turns her attention to the one place she's forbidden from entering-the Schwarzwald, a magical, yet deadly, forest ruled by the elusive and powerful Forest King. Eventually, Sabrina finds herself willing to go to any lengths to control her own destiny, and the choices she makes along the way affect not only herself, but her coven, other magic users, and one important life yet to come. A light obscured often goes dark, and a passion can too easily become an obsession in this cautionary coming-of-age prequel to Witch, Wolf, Woods.

"But I don't have magic. That's why my parents sent me here. I'm powerless. I'm ordinary." ~*~*~ Imagine growing up in a world full of magic, being able to cast spells left and right, making your deepest desires come true. It sounds amazing, doesn't it? Like a fantasy, a dream come true. I hate to break it to you but that's unrealistic, untrue. The real world just isn't like that, for most people that is. There's the lucky few who are a part of that community, that live joyously in the magical realm, surrounded by magic every waking moment. That sounds fantastic, doesn't it? A living fairytale you could say. For most, yes. Then there's Luna. Luna, despite being involved in the magical realm, never belonged. She didn't have powers so was treated as an outcast, rejected by everyone including her own family. They shunned her and soon banished her from not just their home but the whole magical realm. Now she lives in the human world, going about her everyday life like an average person. She's left her previous life behind and that's just how she likes it. Unfortunately for her, you can't escape your past forever. No matter how much she protests, magic will always be a part of her life, hiding in the shadows, undetected but still there. All she wants to do is complete her final year of school without so many 'unusual' complications. As you're most likely aware, life never goes according to plan. Magic has always been a problem in her life and now it's back to haunt her. All that needs to be said is that she's not pleased. Can't the world just accept that she's ordinary? No, it can't. ~*~*~ *contains mature language*
