City Elf

Elves are a race strongly connected to nature, none are more connected than the royals who can talk and understand plants and animals. It's because of this connection that very few elves live in the city because to them, there is no nature there. However, due to the fact that all the birds and trees seem to do nothing but gossip about every little thing in life, princess Elwyn Evertree decides to move to Utoni city, so all the chatter she hears everyday is at least from beings everyone can understand. So now she has to adjust to life in the city with a little help from a rat she found in her apartment, and maybe a few other friends along the way. But she needs to be a little bit careful to make sure her parents don't find out where she is, they aren't really too pleased at her for running away from home...

Writing Prompt: All Elves are gifted with Nature magic but those of royal blood, the High Elves, can communicate with plants and animals - and it's driving you nuts. Overwhelmed by gossiping birds and the constant chatter of trees, you run away to the city to get some peace and quiet.
