laney byers was never the type to socialize. meaning they didn't have friends. well except for their brothers, jonathan and will. jonathan has the same problem as laney. no friends. which made school terribly difficult for him. and it is making school terribly difficult for laney. they have to see where they fit in. which feels so stupid because that's typically the whole point of middle school.
