The brisk wind causes goosebumps to run down my limbs. I twirl my fingers around the damp blades of grass as I look up at the waxing gibbous moon. I lift one hand up to the sky and reach for the moon. The goosebumps on my skin are kissed by the warmth of its light.
A few minutes later I sit up and wrap my arms around my knees. Suddenly, I notice a black silhouette.
A massive one.
Shivers run down my spine as a female voice whispers,
"Come home moonchild."

When Alice and Tate weren't teaching at the school, they were off doing what they did best: hunting demons that managed to slip through the cracks. Alex, Damon, and Caleb also taught classes and maintained security and safety for those who lived at the house containing a portal door leading to the magic school and the students living in its dorms. The special children, either born from Lucifer and Kira's bloodlines or those with ancestors who passed down pieces of Lucifer's shattered soul, had grown up, and after turning 18, they'd stopped aging physically. Just like their parents, they also continued to face obstacles of their own over the years, as with every passing year, their powers grew stronger as they trained how to use them. Though they were not the only ones. Lucifer was getting closer; they were getting closer. Kira could feel it, and so could Alice and Tara. It's almost like that strange feeling where a person feels as if someone is standing behind them, but when they turn around, no one is there. The intensity of those feelings crept closer and stronger with each passing year. It was only a matter of time before Hell's gates would open, and once more, Lucifer would come for Kira, as well as everyone and everything she loved, including Tara, Alice, and anyone standing in his way.

I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups.
