The brisk wind causes goosebumps to run down my limbs. I twirl my fingers around the damp blades of grass as I look up at the waxing gibbous moon. I lift one hand up to the sky and reach for the moon. The goosebumps on my skin are kissed by the warmth of its light. 

A few minutes later I sit up and wrap my arms around my knees. Suddenly, I notice a black silhouette. 

A massive one.

Shivers run down my spine as a female voice whispers, 

"Come home moonchild."

17-year-old Avila White has had a pretty nice life. Besides the downs of her father leaving and her mother's busy schedule. Other than that she is what you would consider- normal.

Except Avila and her closest friends are far from normal. Soon they will enter a whole other world- well besides the ones that know more than they let on...
