Rae Shearn danced for Martha Graham, known as the "Mother of Modern Dance", and is one of the most respected artistic directors and choreographers. She also worked with Donald McKayle, who is known for putting together the dance moves for the Sophisticated Ladies. After she joined the Miami Fusion Dance Company, she did her last dance at the First Miami New World Festival of Dance.
