Rory believes she's had a good life so far. She's avoided terrible experiences which could dampen her ever-present vigour, but she's also never had the privilege of experiencing overwhelming happiness. For better or for worse, Rory believes she is content in her safe state of equilibrium. But as her final year of high school begins to reach an end, Rory finds her glass bowl of happiness shattered by the sudden appearance of her best friend's brother and the growing realisation that her rock-solid family is as malleable as tin. Experiences are made to be loved and suffered. But happiness is never guaranteed.
