unfortunately this meant naruto could never return to the leaf village to resume his career as a shinobi. 
as he was walking towards the exit of the council room they demanded he return his leaf headband.

Naruto wouldn't do so.and as such left with the toad contract his headband the ninetails and rasengan plus his shinobi weapons in hand.
