Hunter meets a boy named Edric Blight at Hexside, after the whole battle between the coven guards and coven head Adrian Graye Vernworth. Coven head of illusions. He then moves into the owl house, right after Luz figures out he had started living in the school. Edric and Hunter began to get closer soon after, mostly because Luz always snuck over to the Blight Manor to see Amity.
