Stuck in the dreambubbles post game, the trolls have an easy life. Or so it seems.

Everyone has pretty much abandoned Feferi Peixes, deciding her past issues with Eridan and Sollux are just a little too messy to deal with. Even though both trolls have happily moved on with their own lives.

As for Cronus Ampora, he's finally managed to push everyone he's ever known away, leaving him completely and utterly alone.

His reply actually surprised you, and you sneak a peek at him to see he was paying attention to whatever lied out the window instead of you. Citizens are being massacred by some unknown individual who may or may not be a friend, family members suddenly show up on your doorstep and everyone moves to live in your supposed inherited house, and then you find out your father is alive and in some secret group called the A.R.P. It all really started because of Cronus, because you decided to save him. But through everything, in the end you both realize that you've only got each other. You both get closer, but then the worst comes again. Will Cronus be able to save your life once more? Or will one of you die trying to save the other? Who can you really trust among the others? Who is deceiving who, and is it someone on the inside or the outside? Will everyone survive and get to safety? Will people die because of you? In the end, the answers were never what you would have expected.

Sollux was by the ocean, sitting on the dock one day. He doesn't really have the greatest life on land, he was fired from his job, he needed money to pay rent for his apartment, he didn't have many friends, and things just didn't work out for him anymore. As he gets up to leave from the dock, he falls into the ocean, but then he's saved by some mystery person and when he finds out it was a merman who saved him, he becomes great friends with him and finds out that his name is Eridan. But then, Eridan's father disapproves of their friendship and does something horrible. Sollux then finds Eridan with tons of cuts and bruises all over him, on the beach and helps him out. He does all of this while keeping him secret from everyone else except for his best friend, Karkat. After some time, he realizes that he can't stay on land if he wants to keep Eridan safe. Sollux will have to choose whether to stay on land and look for a different way to help him, or to become a merman himself and live in the water for the rest of his life. He thinks there's nothing he can do about it, but during Summer Break (wow, so original) they get invited to stay at Eridan's because he has no friends (lol me). He tries desperately to make it through his first year in a human school, but with everyone still not fully accepting trolls added on with his so-called 'stupid' blood color, he can't find a single person who understands him, yet. Dave Strider. Maybe one of the most popular guys in the school. Nobody knows why he's always wearing those cool ironic shades of his, and most people want to find out. But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do? (this is my second fanfic and the first homestuck one i've ever written so if the writing sucks don't judge! also none of the art is mine. ships included will most likely be johndave at the beginning, and throughout the fic theres gonna be erisol, rosemary, some jadenep, johndirk, and vrisrezi! if you don't like one or more of these ships deal with it.)
