Selah James is your average 16 year old girl. Living in the small beach town of Folly Beach, SC, she wants the summer of 2016 to be her year. The summer of love and dreams coming true. The two rich boys, Harry and Vincent Williams, both madly in love with Selah, want the best for her. Selah James and her best friend, Cassidy Page, love Harry and Vincent. What no one knows of the small South Carolina town, is that Selah is dying. Selah has a rare disease that is slowly killing her.
Cassidy Page wants everyone around her to be happy. But, the people in the town, including Selah, don't know her home life. The abuse, the alcoholism, and the demons in her head. 2016 was supposed to be Cassidy's year, but she doesn't want to be the reason for Selah's depression or anyone for that matter.
Summer of 2016 will be Selah's summer, but not if the secrets and her disease kill her. With the summer fun, love and relationships unfold, will Selah be able to enjoy one last summer with the people she loves most? Or will death come faster than she anticipated?
