1788, England: After her sister's and shortly after her mother's death, Amelia and her newly widowed father move to a new home, in a new town in the countryside of Eastbourne in an attempt to start over. While in the new town Amelia notices a large abandoned on the hill near her new home and hears several chilling stories from the village people of something or someone dangerous living inside of it. The rumors disturb Amelia but also in a way spark her curiosity into figuring out the mystery behind the home. Night after night, Amelia peers outside her bedroom window at the large windows of the rumor-haunted house to catch even a glimpse of a silhouette or a shadow. After her dog, Bernard breaks from his leash while on a walk and runs into the dark abandoned home, Amelia is forced to enter it and while having a near death experience she finally encounters the creature that the town has been fearing all this time.
