Monae is a 20 something, young & vibrant socialite who doesn't have much luck when it comes to love. She's tired of the one night stands & getting nowhere when she's involved with somebody. She's starting to feel empty. She feels that she is only understood by her best friend/ brother Ryder, but that may all change after meeting a new love interest while out shopping. But who will be the one to change her outlook on love? Who will save her from the never ending pain?

Ryder is 23 going on 16. Stuck in the cycle of cheating & explaining, he uses his childhood trauma to make his everyday decisions. Both big ones & little ones. Running from one woman to the next, he is left with that empty feeling of not being truly cared for. Not with Monae though. She makes him feel almost invincible, but he can't seem to decide whether or not to tell her about how he really feels. & with this new guy in her life, he risks losing her forever if he doesn't man up & change his ways soon. Will he let her go? Will he be honest with her & change his player ways for a possible future together? Or will he keep his secret & keep their friendship in the same place it's always been & continue feeling empty too?
