For weeks, Kara sees the beautiful, dark-haired girl on the back of the bus but is too shy to speak. When Kara finally gets up the nerve to talk to this girl, it will send her on an emotional journey that will have her questioning the rules of the world as she knows it and her own sanity.

But all this changed on her eighteenth birthday, when her connection with Sam and a small mistake made by her mum at the Federal Research Academy; an academy built for researching supernatural powers and the changing world, brought an unknown fatal danger, which led to her discovery of the other side of reality, followed by many unanswered questions. why the sudden attraction and connection with him, with the urge to pull out Sasha's hair and nail extensions for being uncomfortably close to him? Why is she the only clumsy baby among family members with artistic and athletic genes? Why does she feel blocked and stifled, as if some part of her is locked somewhere? And why...oh why, does she feel a sense of crisis and disobedience each time she tries of scream with all her heart? so many whys.
