Raine and Melancholy is a story about a group of unlikely friends brought together for the opposite of reaching a common goal. They were brought together for the sake of convince, and slowly learn that their connections may be stronger-- and more important-- than they realize.

Eleanor lives a relatively comfortable life with her grandparents in the suburbs of an urban city. She has her own hobbies and desires, but she's never satisfied with her abilities and lacks true confidence in herself. Maybe some part of her wishes for change, for excitement, or something like that. She gets what she wants, in a less than normal form-- she witnesses a demon girl disintegrate into flame after falling through a void in a storage room. 

What happens next will change Eleanor forever, her perception of the world, and how she connects with others. Maybe she'll find love, too. But will all of that come easily to her?
