Then one day, Violet, like most ordinary girls, fell in love. She met a girl, a pretty girl that she liked, and everything was great. She was perfectly content with her ordinary life. And sure, Cassandra Cain was a little odd, and definitely intimidating when she wanted to be, but she was sweet, and she cared about Violet. Nothing had ever seemed out of place, or particularly unusual.
It really was just an ordinary love story.

The first few chapters are rough, im warning you lmao Disclaimer: this is not canon backstorys or anything! But it doesnt shy away from who they are, they are hero/antiheros, they find love in a hopless place, school.Also the first portion of the book is pretty bad written i was new to the whole thing but i think at chapter 4 or 5 i do another formatting which is much better so yeah. Bruce's death has torn the Bat Family apart, leaving the boy alone with Alfred Pennyworth. He never expected to enjoy the manservants company but he would prefer his family to be with him too. They are rarely at the manor anymore, mostly because it felt empty without Bruce there. One night, the boy wonder crosses paths with a thief that he has ran into once before. He never got her name and never bothered to look into it. The last time he's seen her, his father was still alive. The last time he's seen her, she was stealing something small. What happens when he finds out that this thief is one no other than the daughter of Harley Quinn and the Joker? What makes the girl so special? (I do not own the characters in the book. Cathleen was only five when it happened, when her parents died before her eyes. That night started out amazing, she had dinner with them and they went out for ice cream. However, Gotham isn't a place where good things last. When they made it to their car, it exploded, killing her mother instantly, her father rushed to save his daughter, but was gunned down. Little Cathleen could only lay there motionless and watch, whilst slipping into a coma. She slept for a year, but then woke up. The doctors didn't know how to console the traumatized six year old girl, so they let her cry it out. Once she was able to leave the hospital, she was sent to Juvi, because all of Gotham's orphanages where full. She was in Juvi for a year, before taken hostage by Joker. That's when she met Batman, and Red Robin, and Red Hood, And Nightwing. They saved her, they notice that she shouldn't be in Juvi, so they bring her to an orphanage.
