Violet Hayes. Charlie Clemens. Ryan Hooper. Patrick Hooper. Anastasia Santos. They were all ordinary people, insignificant in the crowds of Gotham City. If you passed them on the street you'd never give them a second thought. They were just like everyone else, really. Then one day, Violet, like most ordinary girls, fell in love. She met a girl, a pretty girl that she liked, and everything was great. She was perfectly content with her ordinary life. And sure, Cassandra Cain was a little odd, and definitely intimidating when she wanted to be, but she was sweet, and she cared about Violet. Nothing had ever seemed out of place, or particularly unusual. It really was just an ordinary love story. OR How one mismatched family teaches some bats a thing or two about the joys of an ordinary and healthy relationship. --------- *Disclaimer: All DC characters belong to DC. **All characters belong to the writers of DC and Rick Riordan.** Nico is careless, he's always known that. But he never expected himself to wind up in the LITERAL worst place in all of America. China would have honestly been better than this. But luck was not on his side, it never was, and probably will never be. But this was cruel, even for the fates, or the gods, or really anyone. Because everyone seemed to wish Nico nothing more than a rather sucky life. The only problem was Nico himself. Gods, did he need to get a grip on his life. Especially as he stared up at the rust Iron sign that read 'Welcome to Gotham!'
