What will happen when Elvis Presley falls in love with a hotel maid? It's 1963, and while Elvis is acting in his movie It Happened at the World's Fair, he meets a lady extra who is Korean. He gets talking to this woman and finds out that she has a daughter who works at the very hotel he's staying at there in Seattle. Curious, he keeps his eyes out for this girl when he's at the hotel, just so he can say that he's met her mother. Soon enough, he finds this girl. Well... he never thought he was interested in Asian girls until he meets Amy Kim. Ah-Mi is a second-generation Korean girl who likes to go by Amy. Her parents moved to Seattle from Seoul, South Korea before she was born. When she was about twelve years old, she saw a boy named Elvis Presley on the television, singing and swinging those hips. She became obsessed after that, listening to all his songs, watching the movies he was in, reading news article about him in the paper... Whatever she could do to keep up on his life. Now, six years after first seeing him, she finds out not only that her favorite star will be in Seattle for a movie that takes place near the new and tall Space Needle, but he's staying in the hotel that she works at! It melts Amy's heart when she meets him in person, but how will she react later on when she finds out that her favorite star may be falling in love with her? Disclaimer: I found out later that the movie was filmed in Seattle in September of 1962, not Spring of 1963. That was when the movie came out. We'll just say they filmed it in 1963.Complete

Deanne is tall, and that makes her the brunt of everyone's jokes, ever since she was a child in grade school. Now, being 20 and 6-foot-7, the harassment still doesn't stop, even on a movie set. Thanks to her father, she was chosen to be an extra in Elvis Presley's new movie Kid Galahad. That means being close to and maybe even being friends with her six-year-long star-crush. This is too good to be true! She knows, though, that there's absolutely no chance with him because she's seven inches taller than he is, and he's a world-famous star who has a teen girlfriend who he met in Germany. No other woman has a chance with him, besides Joan Blackman, who plays his love interest in the movie, and who he is in love with. He also has another girlfriend Anita Wood. So, yes, Deanne doesn't have a chance. He has two girlfriends, he's in love with another woman, and... guys don't like tall girls. Elvis is intrigued with this very tall girl who becomes his coworker on the movie set. She is kind, funny and extremely pretty, but she has a lack of self-esteem since she seems to be hassled and made fun of because of her height - no one sees the real her since her height masks it. Well, maybe he can do something about this so she can see herself as an incredible and beautiful individual, inside and out. Falling for her is a possibility, regardless of his teen girlfriend Priscilla, other girlfriend Anita Wood, and love for his co-star Joan.Complete
