Tom's just a young boy when the 'Jones family' move in to a house across the street, after being pursuaded to go to the 'Jones' new house to deliever some muffins, he finds the girl of his dreams (Emily), she's everything he could possibly want and soon they find themselfs growing up together and married with a young child, they think their lifes are perfect with Tom fighting in the army, a young daughter and a lovely home, until one terrible day when Tom is fighting out in the army, something terrible happens to Tom, will Emily ever be able to cope with her life again?
