y/n's parents sent her to spend her last year in highschool at her old town with her old friend Maxine that moved to Hawkins from Cali last year. After the tragic mall fire and the passing of max's step brother billy, y/n stays with max to hang out and keep her mind off of all of these tragedies in Hawkins and finds herself more at home here in Hawkins than she ever could have before.
