YAY stranger things fanfic becuz im shattered
(spoilers obviously)

- set during and after episode 9 of season 4.

Eddie Munson was dying. Bleeding out on the ground in Dustin's arms.
Steve Harrington was leaving the Creel's house alongside Nancy and Robin.
Vecna had disappeared, so when the trio goes to look for him, they split up
Steve's mother-like instincts are the only reason he was able to save Eddie.; bring him back from death's doorstep.
He tried to hide him, for unexplainable reasons. Something along the lines of, "To protect Eddie and the others".
Also because of the chances that everyone else might have to go through Eddie's death again. You can't just bring Hawkin's most wanted criminal to a hospital
He's put the burden on his own shoulders
But slowly, more people find about the 'secret', for the better or the worse.
During the chaos, Steve and Eddie remain side by side, practically glued together at the hip
They create another secret. A secret so confidential they don't even recognize it themselves
But what can you expect? They do say trauma brings people together.
Just maybe not quite in the way the phrase intended

-max is not in a coma
- the world is not ending
-the earthquake still had happened, due to how close vecna had came to killing max, but he didn't kill her, so the world hasnt been 'upside down'-ed
