Once each child turns 15, they are tested to see if they have a magical aptitude. If they don’t, they are allowed to keep living in their society. If they do, they are banished from society and usually are never seen again.
On her fifteenth birthday, Tatiane Shazta was exiled from her homeland. Now she is an apprentice of Aleyna, one of the most powerful sorceresses in the world. She begins to learn that magic isn't always the horrible, bad thing that she was raised to believe - but there are some in her world that want to keep it that way.
