After many years of war, two realms are finally in an era of peace. But as the forest fairy Melusine sets out to explore a small human town in the dead of night, she witnesses a crime at play, and her faith and love for humans lead her to break the One Great Rule. 

Cast out by the fairy council, Melusine is cursed to roam Cassen until she finds the man she has saved and erases his memory of their encounter. The problem? She has no other lead but a pair of wings tattooed on his right chest. Not until a certain prince from Cassen offers his help in exchange of pretending as his bride-to-be until he finds one to secure his throne. 

Thrown into courtly life, Mel is stuck in a dizzying game of power, revenge, treachery, and a blossoming attraction to the crown prince that puts them both in danger than they know. In the end, she must choose: her duty... or her heart.
