Lalisa has been living her life full of rejections. She was rejected as a child by her own father, rejected by the first girl she had a crush on in school, fooled by the first girl she dated, rejected by her professors in college just because her works are not good enough, and rejected by the only woman she loved. So should she still be expecting anything in everything she does if she knows what would happen next? She doesn't think so. She closed herself to everyone even her 2 bestfriends just because she's afraid to do something that will make them drop her like what the rest of them did. But what if one rainy night, the only woman she ever loved came knocking on her door? Will she let her in? After 8 years of radio silence from her, will Lisa let Jennie back in her life? Especially now that Jennie is pregnant?

In every friend group, there are always opposites that somehow manage to coexist. For Jennie Kim, that opposite was Lisa Manoban. They weren't close. Not even remotely. If it weren't for Kai - Jennie's boyfriend - and his friendship with Lisa, their paths probably wouldn't have crossed beyond an occasional polite nod on campus. But dating Kai meant hanging out with his circle, and Lisa was always there. Lisa was the loud laugh in every room, the girl with the carefree grin who never seemed to take life too seriously. People whispered about her constantly. Jennie heard all the rumors - that Lisa was a playgirl, a heartbreaker, even a cheater. Stories about girls crying over her, about relationships falling apart because of her. Whether or not they were true, Jennie didn't bother to find out. To her, Lisa was the type of chaos she wanted nothing to do with. Jennie was a serious student - a third-year political science major at Yonsei University, focused on classes, internships, and her future. Lisa, on the other hand, was a second-year economics student who hung out with her long-time friends from junior high. A carefree flirt and a serious student didn't click, and Jennie was fine with that. She stuck with her own group of friends, Lisa stuck with hers, and that was how things stayed. At least, that's what Jennie thought. Because sometimes, what you see isn't the whole story. And sometimes, the person you least expect is the one quietly standing in your corner.
