The first Book in the Yokai Trilogy.
A group of average students living among humans... or are they? They are in all actuality powerful supernatural beings who have been living in the mortal world in disguise as humans. When all of a sudden, they are discovered by a demon who forces them to go through trials in order to be admitted into the famous Yokai Academy; a school in another dimension strictly for mythical beings.
Everything seems fine at first: Being surrounded by others like them, making new friends and amazing otherworldly classes that they never would have dreamed of. That is, until students slowly begin to disappear while teachers pretend that they never existed. The group finds themselves in the middle of it as their friends slowly begin to fade away one by one.
All they can do is pray that they survive... Or, fight back.

"One by one, the beasts neared the town as they followed from behind the white wolf. As the villagers fled into their homes, the priest and his daughters gathered the day-hunters to his side. They watched as the approaching monsters stood and stalked the village fence. The wolf was strong and smarter than the rest. Even in its guttural snarling voice, it managed to speak to the priest. 'You've trespassed too long. Abandon your homes or forsake your lives.' The priest refused without hesitation and stared the ten-foot wolf down." With no where else to go and to return the favour to the group of saving him, he joins the Night Raid and now he must help them in their jobs of taking down the empires elite while also trying to find out who framed him and find out who is the real killer of his clan leader. Whatever the case he will have his revenge and justice.
