Izuku, abandoned at a young age, often prayed at a shrine for his sick father's recovery. After learning of his father's death, he found solace there, hoping for a happier life. 

One snowy morning, Izuku woke to a landscape of trees and vibrant skies, disoriented and lost. As he ran through the cold, he struggled against sharp thorns until he collapsed in tears. 

Suddenly, he encountered a kitsune. 

"W-who are you?" Izuku asked. 

"I'm a kitsune. You must be the yokai everyone talks about," the creature replied. 

"Yokai? I'm just human! How did I end up here?" 

The kitsune knelt down, gently holding Izuku's hand. "You died..." 

"W-what?"
