The Pure are completely normal humans who have not been affected by the curse of the tainted.

The Tainted are humans who have been cursed with animal counterparts, and are being hunted down.

Kerian is the last 9-tailed fox "tainted" As they call them...

Yet despite their many differences they manage to get along and face the many challenges that being a princess and a rare creature might bring.
