No one really knew how X's came to be. One day there weren't any, the next day half the population was wiped out. All Karma knew was that they are technological monsters, fit to be the world's biggest weapon, after the splitting particle ray which could reduce any person into air particles in a millisecond. Karma realised how simple it would be to destroy an army even with one X. They were practically indestructible, perfect killing machines, only they'd turned on the government, apparently. Or maybe those bastards had escaped perfectly unharmed, watching how the country was being destroyed. Maybe it was an excuse for overpopulation. xx-xx Karma has been trying to survive for over a year, but it's difficult when X's, mechanical killing machines, roam the streets, hungry for human flesh. Every day that passes by without finding a portal brings the morale lower. They need to escape the country before they all end up dead. It doesn't help that the X's have changed their tactics and are now manipulating people to commit suicide. The death rate keeps increasing, and Karma has to find out what family means, and to what extremes she would go to save the ones she loves.

But a new leader came out of the ashes and proclaimed they would consider the apocalypse a "rebirth" and proceeded (with his advanced engineering) to clear radioactivity from America and make it livable again. With the help of his crew, he builds a high security city and begins to build out past the east coast. Shortly after he rebuilds NY, he disappears and his advisor rises to power. He is a fair but cruel master (calling himself a Lord) and some people refuse to work for him. These people manage to escape the oppression of the Lord and live out on the wasteland that was once a great country. Some band together to make right communities and others rough it out by themselves, scavenging for a living.

Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. A teen girl, pitch black hair, black eyes, white skin. Her height is 5'8. People are scared of her, not just because of her strength but because of they way she kills.
