Zayn Winsenburg was no ordinary kid. Growing up in the city, he was used to everything that was thrown at him.His father however, didn't want the burden of the his company to let him down. "What a jerk!" Zayn did not understand the real meanings of this summer. Deep into the countryside, this town was a new world he had never seen before, and never intended to. "Hi Zayn!" Lirio, spending most of her life down in this town, had a great relationship with Greg. Who just happened to be Zayn's uncle. "Wanna be friends?" As the crazy coincidences led them onto the same path, they naturally became very good friends. "Why can't I forget about it?" But he started to feel something else. "Zac!" "Lio!" This summer, was the canvas of their very own story.

After Riven's life fell apart losing friends, family, and the person he thought he was - he ends up in the quiet beach town of Windlow, living with his uncle Nick. His parents failed him in ways that can't be undone, and he's trying to forget, to start over, to be someone new. Then he meets Vinnie. The captain of the hockey team, hard to like and just as hard to really know. Everyone sees confidence and charm, but Riven sees something else - a kind of loneliness that feels too familiar. Vinnie's the type of person who carries his past like it's stitched into his skin, pretending it doesn't hurt. As the two of them grow closer, secrets start to surface - the kind that don't stay buried no matter how far you run. Will they save each other from drowning, or will the tide pull them under?
