Byler - Love is not lost

Eleven has run away because she has noticed that Mike now has feelings for Will and she doesn't want to be the person standing in their way.
She decides she must fight the monster on her own to save her friends from the tragedy that is befalling Hawkins and keep them out of danger and create a world where Will and Mike can be together no matter how much it hurts.
Although she misses them, especially Mike because she has never had to live without him before, she knows that he will avoid his attraction to Will if she goes back and seeing as she has lived with Will for a while now she knows what that will do to him.
Mike has known he is attracted to Will for quite some time but doesn't want to face it because he is with Eleven and knows that she needs him. When Eleven runs away leaving a message for Mike to follow his heart, he has to make the choice between going for it with him or finding her because she may well be in danger.
Will has always had feelings for Mike since the day they became friends but has never been able to tell him in fear of judgement. Eleven has been a good reason to keep it away from him the past couple years but when she runs away he is surprised to find that he may not need to be the one to talk first.
The story is based off season 4 if the Byers' family hadn't moved and Hopper hadn't come back and what would happen afterwards. Each chapter is based off a song called Angel Eyes by Abba and follows the story of these three kids as they face their fears.
If you have not watched this season you may want to do so first.
