The events in this story take place after the events of season four. However, Vecna did in fact die and Hawkins's ground didn't split.
This fanfic is a comfort for me. I might not be the best writer but I will try. My prior two fanfics weren't the best but I tried harder with this one. I'm fully aware this may not be their cannon personalities but it's just writing and I hope it doesn't upset anyone.
This is a male reader. It's shipping Y/N and Eddie as well as Y/N and Steve but not the two characters together.

Heartbroken love
This story is a Steve x oc fem. But at first it's mainly following the friendship of Eddie and the main girl. Steve is just mentioned at times. He becomes the leading man after the whole Vecna awfulness. I will make this into 3 parts; Part 1 Friends and enemies, Part 2 Death and destruction, Part 3 Heartbreak and Love Emma moves with her dad all the way from Sweden to Indiana in the United states. In the small town of Hawkins she's new to school and feels like a freak. She befriends the outgoing Eddie Munson and he becomes the best friend she could have ever dreamt of. She loves him like the brother she's never had. But seeing as something's weird in this small town she's dragged in to events leading to Eddie's death. Emma doesn't know how to deal with life anymore, how do you go on when your best friend in the whole world dies? Well, you could always fall in love with the one guy you swore you'd never ever be more than a hook-up to. The one who helps you cope with Eddie's horrible faith, because he's equally heartbroken over it. This takes place during and after the events of Vecna's curse. After the Vecna's end, Eddie and Steve are still struggling to adjust to normal life. Steve is convinced something is coming after them, and Eddie is still dealing with the aftermath of being accused to be a murderer. With their new friendship being the only thing to keep them from completely falling apart, the boys start to feel things they never excepted. Their friendship takes a new turn after Steve comes up with an idea to get them both out of their current state, take the other one to do their favorite things. What could go wrong? This is a fanfic from the show stranger things, there will be season four spoilers. Since the show hasn't ended, and I just finished Vol two, this will not be canon accurate. I started writing before Vol two came out and I'm staying with my plot rather than follow the rest of the show. This is a happy ending fic so don't worry.
